Date: Saturday, August 26, 2006    All Day  9:00AM - 4:00PM
Subject: Alamance Co. - Cedarock Park "Preserving Our Heritage Festival"

We plan to participate in the Alamance County Cedarock Park-Heritage Festival.
Burlington Checker Club will have a Checker booth with several tables & chairs for playing
checkers at the Festival as many other participants. All checker players are welcome to come
by and play and help promote our great game. Let’s do our part in preserving our heritage.
We need a few strong players on hand to handle the local heavy weights that drop by, and of
course there will be plenty of kids asking to play each other and challenging club members.
Mike Ross will be demonstrating his bee keeping skill at the Alamance Co. Beekeepers' booth
beside and on the right of us.  I'm sure he'll double duty, occasionally dropping in to help
us.
Mike brought watermelons from his farm to eat at the close of festival.  Last year was a
fun day and great attendance!
